ok i feel like posting some pictures! haha.
babes day 12/6! unfotunately we were incomplete again as jas wasn't feeling well and didn't come. oh wells. get well soon bang! :) i miss you. lots. anw geks min coll and i went to sentosa to sun tan! it felt really good to be around my babes again. i had so much fun soaking up the sun (but in the end i didn't get tanner, my right arm still has two distinct colours. darn it!) and talking to my babes! we were taking a lot of photos too. see the pictures are so nice! haha. after sun tanning we went to ps to watch the omen. it wasn't very scary but i was still holding on to geks most of the time and man can she scream! after the show we went to the food court to finish our food. i love you babes! :)
josh sam, amos and gerry came over to study today. first i taught gerry and josh sam chinese. it was damn funny the way they interpreted the meaning of the words. it was seriously direct tanslation. haha. like shi fen fa da was ten marks scold beat. according to gerry. haha. even though it was clb, the passage wasn't very easy and it was damn boring! i don't blame them for not being very interested in it.
after that josh and i did math while gerry did chem and amos physics. amos was falling asleep! haha. after a while amos got quite high and started waving his hands around and saying i can't study do you have board games do you have monopoly let's play board games let's play monopoly! haha. damn high. then amos and gerry went to play monopoly while josh and i continued with our math. so hardworking right? haha. but after a while we joined in and all of us were being quite noisy. bonding through monopoly. haha.
things i learnt about josh gerry and amos today:
1. josh is 'generous'. he kept giving us 'discounts' off the rents whenever we landed on his property. haha.
2. gerry has watched FOUR HOURS of kim possible before. at one shot. oh my goodness. even i don't watch that. haha.
3. amos stepped on a snail while jogging yesterday. in case you forgot amos is scared of snails! hahaha.
4. all of us are unsure about the rules of monopoly. we kept arguing about the rules. haha.
i miss S07. i really really do. and peilian just made me miss my class more. haha. so yes i'm definitely looking forward to this thurday's math lecture!
First, my wonderful group FAITH! Colleen Shirley huihui pear joyce clara Clarence gary Jeremy Christopher and me! We’ve shared food, water, odour (haha!) and lessons learnt and it’s been a wonderful four days with you guys. You guys have really taught me a lot about myself and helped me mature as a leader. In fact, the whole 29th and seniors have helped.
Day one (DISCIPLINE):
1. we were split into four groups, lead serve FAITH trust.
2. Showed me just how weak I was. Haha. They kept making us do pumping and I couldn’t take it. Thank God for people like colleen, Shirley, min, FAITH and 29th, they really encouraged me not to give up, not only today but all four days as well.
3. Our obstacle courses (spiderweb and maze).every time we touched the raffia string we had to start all over again. And we had a time limit! Took us quite a while to complete the task but we did it in the end!
4. we were all given an egg to protect. Each time we broke an egg, we had to do push ups. We broke A LOT of eggs. At the end of the camp, we broke a total of 23 eggs. After camp, FAITH broke all our eggs. As one half of egg bearer of FAITH, it was absolutely painful to watch.
Day two (PASSION n PROFESSIONALISM):
1. Seeds of perseverance. The seniors messed up LT2 with beans, newspapers and marbles (mostly beans) and we had to clear up. TWICE. The first time we took 50+ min and the second 40+. Improvement! Our legs was seriously cramping at the end of it.
2. Crossing the river. It’s the game where the whole group has to use chairs and tables to get from one point to another. We had to go back and fourth cos sometimes the seniors will randomly pull someone off and put him/her away from the group. They even put themselves to see if we would ‘save’ them. My group saved Baldwin and jean. Baldwin kept threatening us with if you save me I’ll make you do more pumping. But we still went back for him. Haha. Jean was acting scared with so high I’m very scared. We had to pull the chair/table side by side before she moved. Even with a slight gap she’ll sit down and start saying I’m very scared!
But the best part of this game was the other team waiting for us. cos we were slower and had to rescue more people than them, they actually waited for us. We tried to end at the same time but the seniors kept finding ways to make only one group the winner. In the end ian found a chair that the lead-trust didn’t bring back so faith-serve won. But it showed our ONE COUNCIL spirit.
Day three (PERSEVERANCE):
1. Trekking to sentosa! We woke up at 2am to trek to sentosa and it really gave me a chance to know my group better. They are seriously a fun and whacky bunch. Haha.
2. There’s this area on mt imbiah that’s has huge bolts arranged in a circle and we had to balance on them and walk one round as a team. We took nearly two hours to complete the task, and that was even after the seniors had relaxed a few rules. But it taught me one very important thing today, perseverance, which was today’s theme. At times I was super tired and my left leg was beginning to shake but with the team’s encouragement and refusing-to-give-up attitude, we made it! I was so proud of FAITH. :)
3. gary, Clarence and chris were being super ego when I went to get water with them. As they would say, it’s an inside joke between us, but you can just ask me and I’ll tell you all about it. Haha.
4. another example of perseverance: we were split into 2 groups and had to cheer in unison from opposite sides of the field. We took quite some time to come up with a solution, took even more time to perfect it and we screamed until most of us lost our voices. But at the end we succeeded and once again showed me how important perseverance was.
Day four (UNITY):
1. gary and Clarence not brushing their teeth. And being nice enough not to tell us until AFTER we’ve shared food and drinks.
2. The four games, my favourite being trust fall, although I didn’t really dare to fall backwards. But, I have faith in FAITH so I fell back and they caught me! Haha. The hockey stick game was fun too. It all taught me to really trust my team.
3. Egg race! FAITH won! Wooh! Haha. Jeremy kept cheering for himself. But he outran ian to clinch first place for FAITH so he’s excused this time round. Haha.
4. Clarence breaking an egg. ON PURPOSE. Haha. For those who still don’t know, he threw an egg onto the ground. Smart.
5. Finale! Everything was so impromptu. but it was seriously hilarious and entertaining. The funniest moment? Gary: when was the last time you slept in your bed? Clarence: nong nong ago, nong nong ago. Hahaha.
Day five:
The completely useless, utterly crap combine leadership training day camp. It didn’t teach me anything at all, except perhaps perseverance to stay awake until it ended. But as the camp progressed, we eventually found some ways to keep ourselves awake.
1. gary and his four third pie r cube, length x breadth x height, pie r square h etc.
2. melvin’s acting (air stewardess! Today’s lunch will be chicken… oh!)
3. Melvin and his games (did grandma die?)
The best part of the day had to be the blindfold walk. Haha. We (min, gary, wei hao, eng neng, Jeremy and i) were up to all kinds of crazy things! Let’s see…
1. Eng neng was being super noisy throughout the walk! Eh guys slow down you’re walking too fast! (when we were inching our way forward) and why are we stopping. Haha.
2. wei hao and gary! I had the (dis)pleasure of standing in between them and they were talking about damn gross stuff! hello! I’m here! Haha.
3. At one point gary tried to pull weihao’s pants down. Here’s what followed: weihao: eh gary stop it. Gary: how do you know it’s me? Weihao: I can see your hand! Then weihao and I had to stop for a while cos we were laughing too hard. haha. (if you still don’t get it we weren’t suppose to be able to see. But our cloth was kinda translucent so we could see all along. Haha.)
4. weihao making ultrasound signals (ah ah ah ah…) to detect our position. ?!?!
Steamboat dinner! Something we’ve looked forward to together as a council and used as a form of encouragement when things get tough (when we’re in our pumping position, all of us will start thinking steamboat!). We went to marina bay and it took us a really long time to settle down. My table consisted of steffi, min, Hannah, me, gary, Brandon, chris, bryner and Alfred. We were making a lot of noise! And bryner and Alfred were having fun torturing the half live prawns. Haha. And Brandon and gary kept running off to get platefuls of that triangular thingie. Haha. I forgot what it’s called. We left the place damn late and while walking to the mrt station (which was like super far away) we were being damn high. The guys were holding hands and walking. Haha. i took the nel back with tim Shirley and evan. By the time I got back it was 12.30AM. Damn late. Parents weren’t too pleased.
I felt that I’ve really matured as a person and as a leader over LTC. It taught me so many things:
a. perseverance
b. trust
c. encouraging each other
d. working as a team
e. putting others before self. This to me was perhaps the most important thing I’ve learnt during camp. The world doesn’t just revolve around me. I have to stop being so individualistic and start thinking about others.
f. determination
and many MANY other things.

2/6 this is the rojaks' celebration of kok's and my birthday! we were at the playground behind trixie's house. we went for dinner first then went to trixie's house. unfortunately not everyone could come. oh wells... i miss hanging out with rojaks. i remember during first intake, we were always hanging out. i really really miss those days. i love you rojaks! thanks for celebrating my birthday. :)
3/6 this is my class S07 celebrating my birthday! we went to nic's house first to wait for terry. we watched some videos and looked at his photos (nic had an awful lot of pictures of a certain someone... haha.) before going to yisheng's condo to swim. his condo is damn nice! we spent most of our time at the 4.1m diving pool. i got pushed into the pool. twice. by dear eileen. haha. then we ordered pizza for dinner!
my birthday cake! from S07. amos said they (manda paul and himself) went into a random cake shop and bought a random birthday cake. haha. but it was nice. thank you S07 for celebrating my birthday. i love S07! :)
4/6 my family celebrating my birthday! haha. yay. my cake was a chocolate fudge cake which was really good but i didn't get to eat much of it cos it was already quite late and i was really full and the next day i had to go for ltc. but my birthday cake still rocked. haha. and it looked like a pancake. :)
my birthday rocked this year. i mean, i got three cakes. and many birthday wishes and prezzies. wow. thanks everyone for making my birthday so fun and memorable. :)

S03 gathering! we had bbq at the carpark at eugene's huse. it was damn fun. i've never barbeqeued sitting down before. haha.

First, my wonderful group FAITH! Colleen Shirley huihui pear joyce clara Clarence gary Jeremy Christopher and me!
